Marie Donovan is a Persian/Farsi language-enabled analyst with CIRA. Her research focuses on the Iranian government and militaries’ roles in the Iranian economy as well as the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and its command structure. She has worked on Iran sanctions-related risk intelligence as an analyst at Kharon and on political and military issues as a senior analyst for the Critical Threats Project at the American Enterprise Institute. She holds a M.A in Middle Eastern and North African Studies from the University of Arizona and a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Thomas Aquinas College.
